Cooling Water — solved pipe network in SimuPipe

A cooling basin feeds a constant-head pump through a 4-inch line, necks down through a reducer, and climbs 5 m to a heat exchanger held at 240 kPa(g). The solver balances the pump head against friction, the fitting losses and the static lift.

The reducer and globe valve use Crane TP-410 auto K-factors referenced to the correct velocities — the small-bore side for the reducer, as the standard prescribes.

Solved results Incompressible solver, 5 iterations

Circuit flow2.75L/s
Heat-exchanger pressure240kPa(g)

What this example shows

  • Static lift + friction + fitting losses balanced against pump head
  • Crane TP-410 auto-K reducer and globe valve
