A treatment-plant supply feeds a DN200 distribution ring serving four process users totalling 60 L/s. Because the ring is a true loop, each demand is fed from two directions at once — the solver balances both paths simultaneously, something a spreadsheet single-path calculation cannot do.

The solved flow pattern shows the ring splitting the feed 29/31 L/s at the entry junction, with one ring segment carrying flow "backwards" relative to how it was drawn — the sign convention the solver handles natively. Every pipe stays under the 3 m/s service-velocity guidance and the 500 Pa/m friction-gradient guidance, which the Design Check overlay confirms at a glance.
