Simple Loop

A closed recirculating loop: a reservoir tank, a circulator pump and three elbows in a ring of 1-inch copper. With no open boundary, every metre of pump head is spent on friction — the solver finds the circulation rate where the pump curve balances the loop's resistance.
It is the simplest network that a single hand calculation cannot quite do honestly: the flow depends on the head, and the head on the flow. The solver iterates both together.

What this example shows
- Closed loop — no boundary, pure pump-vs-friction balance
